The TRUENORTH FITNESS BOOTCAMP
It is a military-style fitness training that delivers an intimate group fitness experience. It’s all about getting fit together. While joining a group may seem daunting to some, taking TNFB will make you feel part of a pack and in a matter of minutes you’ll be drawing strength and having fun with your fellow bootcampers as you jump over, crawl under, and run around obstacles with them. TNFB offers a highly sociable way to health and fitness, so you’ll get plenty of opportunities to get to know your fellow participants after each session.
There are regular calisthenics, daily road runs (i.e., runs done in cadence), and scheduled physical challenges that test and push current fitness levels. Our courses are deliberately tough because leveling up is what fitness is all about.
But why military-style, why do it outdoors, and why in a group, you ask? There is one answer to all of these questions: It’s all about emulating soldiers.
Imagine running while carrying heavy artillery, and still having the presence of mind to pull off battle strategies and make life-or-death decisions. Soldiers are exemplars of mind-and-body fitness. Secondly, training outdoors like soldiers do engages the body more completely, giving you improved body shape and strength, as well as better muscle memory for doing out-of-the-usual physical activities, such as scaling walls or climbing trees. Lastly, being in a group encourages mutual support that bolsters individual drive . Soldiers start off as strangers, but through shared hardships and victories, they build a camaraderie that enables them to face danger for our country’s defense.
Because of all of these positive aspects of military training, we developed a “civilian-friendly” version of the practices being used by the Philippine Army, the Air Force, and the Navy to maintain and improve their fitness levels. Our brand of exercises promises to invigorate both body and mind.
